Stuorrageađggevárri and Pulmankijärvi road

Easy access to magnificent open fell views

Pulmankijärvi road, leading from Nuorgam village down to lake Pulmankijärvi has sceneries like no other. Up the road around three kilometres from Nuorgam village is Stuorrageađggevárri, a spot with panoramic views around the plateau. On the side of the road you can find a table and a Teno River boat., both made of stone. If you want to walk, ski or snowshoe, the trail to Skáidejávri leaves from Stuorrageađggevárri. If you’re taking the car, you can continue all the way to Pulmankijärvi, a beautiful lake that used to be a fjord of the Arctic Ocean.

If driving on Pulmankijärvi road in winter, please be cautious, as snow might pile up the road quickly. Please take care when parking on Stuorrageađggevárri: leave space for others as well and take care while crossing the road.
