Ice Fishing

Ice Fishing is the arctic form of meditation. Trout and arctic char lure many fishermen to the fells of Kaldoaivi and Paistunturi in the winter. To have a cup of hot drink while fishing at a frozen lake is a great winter experience as well as a glimpse to the local life. On its best icefishing is over the spring months from mid February to late April.

We recommend ice fishing with local guide for the best and safe experience. If, however, you choose to go fishing on your own, you need to ensure that you have the needed permits for that certain fishing area.
