I am a 32-year-old keen fisherman and entrepreneur. I started working as a fishing guide on the Tenojoki River at the age of 13 and fished tributaries and mountain lakes on the side. Fly and lure fishing from the shore was an important form of fishing before I was old enough to go out on the river by boat alone, 13 years was the age limit in the family for traveling by boat alone.

Fishing and fly tying have been passed down from generation to generation in our family and flies have been made for sale for 3 generations, nowadays mostly for our own needs. At least 4 different generations of our family have worked as a fishing guide on the Tenojoki River. Ice fishing in the winter is also an important hobby.
