Consider the safety of yourself as well as others

The best way to ensure safety is to explore the great outdoors with a local guide. This way you can relax and enjoy the activities and the scenery while your guide ensures your safety.

When walking on roads outside the Midnight Sun season, remember to use a flashlight and a reflector so that others can see you.

The arctic weather conditions can be unpredictable year-round, so always carry warm clothes with you. The weather can change rapidly.

If you’re planning a hike, always inform others of your plans and the planned route.

Never go on ice without a guide, even when there’s a snow mobile track, as falling through thin ice can be lethal.
