Nisojávri / Nisulampi
Nisojávri is a beautiful area at the shore of the River Utsjoki with ponds and natural beauty at the southern end of Utsjoki Village (coordinates: N69°53’11.5″, E27°01’35.6″). The area has a lot of unmarked walking paths, a beach, a hut, a rental sauna and a disc golf park. The area is especially popular among outdoorsy locals.
To use the hut you’ll need to bring your own firewood. During winter you can go ice fishing and even ice swimming at the pond. In the summer the beach of Nisojávri is very popular among the locals but please keep in mind that the water temperature might be coldish year round.
Camping is prohibited in this area. Please take with you all the trash you bring. There’s a lot of houses nearby – please stay away from the yards.
